MOANA: A story of  identity and self-discovery

The Funtaj Nursery & Primary pupils at Asokoro are set to present another trilling adaptation of MOANA – An adventurous young girl who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest to become a master way-finder. Together they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds. Along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she always sought: her own identity.

Join us June 21, at Plot 6, Nelson Mandela Street, off Kwame Nkruma Crescent
off Thomas Sankara Street Asokoro – Abuja. Time, 4.00pm. Tickets are available at any of the Funtaj International School campuses(Asokoro and Gudu).

The play is continuation of the line up of events that projects Funtaj’s Creative Learning Through Drama Programme, a highly effective method for integrating arts education into core curriculum, designed to produce a positive and lasting impact on student learning, in terms of creative and critical thinking, language development, listening, comprehension, retention, cooperation, and empathy and awareness of others. The programme has introduced more children to the magical world of theatre through participation in drama instruction and performance opportunities.
